Thursday Homework

We had an amazing presentation by Oswaldo showing heavenly and hellish aspects of Venezuela.  Surely, if there are a lot of people like him there, it's only a matter of time before his country reaches its awesome potential!

Don't forget that we'll take the last 20 minutes or so of class to celebrate Eid with our Muslim students.  Bring some snacks from your country.  You can introduce them using relative clauses.  For example, "Mamool is a traditional Middle Eastern pastry which is made with wheat, sugar, butter and dates."

Also, only a little grammar homework: Exercise 1.  You don't have to turn it in, but be sure to do it and check your answers.

Also, if you haven't read the article "Eyes on the Street to Safe Cities," be sure to do so and answer the eight questions on page 9  (Who is the author who wrote The Death and Life...).

We'll finish Unit 8 and talk about indefinite relative clauses a bit, too.
